Groundhog Day......Belated

Tuesday was Groundhog Day, a fun holiday that has its roots in the Pennsylvania “Dutch” (German) tradition. Tradition holds that if a groundhog sees his shadow on this day, six more weeks of winter will follow. If,  on the other hand, the groundhog does not see his shadow, warmer weather is on the way. Judging by the way the snow is falling today, the groundhog must have seen his shadow.

I thought since nothing was mentioned about Groundhog Day on The Chief's Corner I would post the pirate related Groundhog Day pictures I had in waiting.

Pirate Chips

I Googled 'Pirate Chips' to post on this page of The Chief's Corner and got a picture of Eric Estrada riding a motorcycle with a pirate flag. I didn't work it into my post but thought it was funny and pitiful at the same time.

My first official post.

This is my first official post. Some of you may have heard of me from The Chief's Corner where I post things that are pirate related.

Part of the challenge (and fun) of coming up with pirate related submissions to The Chief's Corner is to keep it clean enough to get it posted. My blog will consist of things I find while looking for stuff to post that aren't relevant to the topics on The Chief's Corner or I did not think would make the cut or I just think are funny.
